Bradford students receive Andrew Taylor Recognition Award through MCCF

The Andrew Taylor Recognition Award was recently awarded to eight graduating seniors from Bradford Area High School. This award was established to honor Veteran Andrew Taylor. Sergeant First Class Taylor was a 2000 graduate of Bradford Area High School who enlisted in the Army in April of 2001. He accomplished four combat tours between Iraq and Afghanistan where he served as Platoon Sergeant and Battalion Operations Sergeant. This award is given to students who plan to enlist in any branch of the military, are active in school and community activities, and show academic merit. Recipients include Garrett McAvoy, Jesse Taylor, Maverick Miller, Evan Henry, Manny Diaz, Kathreen Colon, Shawn Farr, and Brett Kubeja. Each was awarded $250.

This scholarship is held by the McKean County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the Community Foundation of the Northern Alleghanies. The Community Foundation provides the administrative and investment management services that make it easy for donors to accomplish their charitable wishes.
